Yes, Psyberdelic and Psyberdelix are the same band. They seem to have a case of schizophrenia and cannot decide which name to use. In addition, a 1997 trance album with songs by various artists is named Trance Psyberdelic, but it appears to be unrelated to the current band, whichever name they are using now.
Very little is known about the band Psyberdelic/Psyberdelix. They tend not to reveal anything about themselves on any of their online profiles, and no one else has written much about them either. According to their MySpace page, in which they use the name Psyberdelix, the band is from New York and they are currently working on the soundtrack for some unknown upcoming science fiction movie called nSpace by Dovin Melhee.
The members of the band are as mysterious as the band itself. The members all use fictitious names. On synthesizer is Neural Entity, while guitars are played by Elvis Robot. Data Pool is on bass and sitting at the drums is Colossus. The Psyberdelix MySpace page points out that their home website is on OurStage under the name Psyberdelic.
YouTube has three songs listed by Psyberdelic, all of which have been uploaded by YouTube user psyphi70. Nothing is known of psyphi70 other than the user uploaded three songs: Happy New Year, EPM and Ohm is Ware the Art is.
Personally, I would not listen to any band that doesn’t know what to call themselves and is so secretive about who they are. It is probably just a couple of kids with an Apple computer mixing some tracks together haphazardly.
That album I mentioned before, Trance Psyberdelic, seems much more interesting than this band, and it can be purchased on Amazon for only $3.75. It features 8 tracks by the following artists: Dominion, Stratofearless, The Search, KV23, Boundless, Out of Memory, Cosmic Energy and Space Puppy. This album also has some good reviews, but it is not for everyone.
