What are the tiny dots you see when you close your eyes?

I think they are scars from minor injuries on the pupil. When the eye closes, those are the dark spots. They remain for a while as a contrast to the healthy part of the pupil wich still is perciving the light that was inflicted while the eye was opened. Can be compared to what you see when you focus on a bright light and then close your eyes. The light will be visible as a moving spot for some seconds or more. Just a theory..
