Sapa questions?

We have a few days to spend in Sapa and had a few questions:

1. Will be there in July so wondering what the weather will be like especially in the evenings, we are packing very light.
2. If we are coming back to Hanoi do we have to bring all our stuff with us to Sapa or is there a safe place to actually leave a bag behind or souvenier bag or seomthing like that as this will be towards the end of our trip. We are not staying at 4* hotels so can't leave it at the hotel right we are doing budget hotels?
3. How long does it take to get from Hanoi to Sapa?
