Why do monkeys throw their poop?

Do they think it's funny or it a domination thing, or is it just an insult?

Most experts agree that monkeys don't really have a sense of humor -- at least in the way that humans do -- so it's doubtful they would find humor in throwing feces. A lot of monkey researchers believe that monkeys fling poo because they are bored, although it is believed to be an assertive dominant behavior as you speculated.
